How could u deny Jesus died to save your life

But they make it a crime, and say u crossed the line
I'm sick and tired of them claiming what is wrong is the new right
Losing sight of what's important and why we're really here
Christ died and rose so we could live, tell me what's unclear
Instead we fear what others think, make sure they didn't hear
If you say Jesus on the mic, then people will surely disappear
I wanna do my own thing, I ain't got no time for this
If I admit that Jesus lives, then I have to give up all my sins
Since I was a little kid I was always wondering
Why is it if we should love, instead we're always arguing
I know that there's something up there I just don't know what it is

So there was this event with music I was asked to host
And they said wait but you play that music with the Holy Ghost
You see to mention Jesus on the mic is a very big no no
What about Buddha & Mohammed , it offends the Jews u know
We just wanna keep everyone happy and have a peaceful show
We'll even pay you, how's that sound, but keep you're Christian on the low
Well it don't sound good at all, and in fact I'm not impressed
You can give me all the money, but it's totally meaningless
You see when I meet God, what will He say
I never knew you, turn away, can't even bring myself to pray
I'd be too ashamed to face Him on that day
And He would judge me rightly so, cast me to eternal flames
You see Jesus is my friend, and you want me to say he's dead
Well sorry I'm no sell out, and won't ever disrespect
My Savior, Teacher, King of Kings, He's been there with me through it all
And I will not be ashamed to proclaim his name, Jesus is my Lord
How dare you ask me such a thing

Ok so check this out, I decided I would pray
And then I called a friend who said just love em anyway
So I called back this lady and said ok let's do the show
But my heart was heavy still, and God only you know
So I did a couple songs, and people stopped right in the street
I told em that I once was lost, but Jesus rescued me
And so they raised their hands, worshipping the Lord
